Youming Cate is an accomplished artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Influenced by her father, a renowned Chinese artist, Youming developed a passion for painting from an early age. She graduated from the Academy of Art University with a major in graphic design and has been engaged in the field ever since. Seven years ago, she reignited her love for painting and embarked on a new creative journey.

Youming is dedicated to exploring the intricate interplay of light and color in her work, constantly delving into the mysteries of light and shadow in her depictions of figures and nature. Her commitment to her craft has garnered significant recognition. Since 2020, she has received first, second, and honorary mention prizes at the Pacific Art League Annual Exhibitions. Her work has been featured in the Triton Museum Salon Competition for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, and 2024), earning top awards in the sketches/pastels category. In 2024, she received the Third Place Award at the Santa Cruz Art League 93rd Annual Landscape Exhibition. Notably, her artwork was also selected for the 2023 American Women Artists annual exhibition. Youming’s artwork is regularly exhibited at the California Art Club’s online gallery. Through her continuous exploration and dedication, Youming Cate continues to make a profound impact in the world of art.
